Anybody up for one? I'm sure we could all do with some improvement in this area, me especially. I've been thinking about doing this for a few days, but I don't have a good idea of how to organize it, since it's hard to measure flexibility the same way you measure running, cycling, and swimming. The two ideas I've had so far are pledging an amount of time (like 2 hours a month devoted to stretching) and pledging to pick up an activity (like starting yoga, getting up in the am to stretch, etc). So what do you think? If there's enough intrest, I'll get it organized.

I'm in...not sure what my goal is...but I'll figure it out.  I am sooooo inflexible.  Whenever I see the Chiropractor, he mentions how stiff I am.  I've used the CORE program before.  Think I'll dig that out and look at it again...

Any ideas on a good flexibility program would be appreciated!!!

Pilates offers some good flexibility exercises, too!

You can look up good moves online:

I wish you all the best of luck with this! Flexibility is about the only thing I'm decent at -- hah.

Great idea!  My PT was just telling me that I have strained muscles in the front of my leg due (in part) to tight, understretched heel cords.

I'm in for Pilates 2x week, and 20 minutes of additional stretching daily.

When do we start?  today?

Alright, glad to see we've got some more takers. Everyone be sure to log what your doing in your logs, and anyone in the challenge be sure to visit others' logs and post encouragment, or post it here. Also, here's the link to a good, but technical, article on stretching. Good luck everyone!

By the way, this is pretty much open indefinitely, so if anyone still wants to join up, bring it on.

This is it, I'm diving into my first challenge. I'll be stretching every morning when i hop out of bed for at least 20 minutes...and every night before I crawl into bed for an additional minimum of 20. Who knows, maybe I'll even try and throw in a yoga routine during the week. Also, if you can get your hands on the October issue of Triathlete magazine they have a great article by Mark Allen about incorporating a stretching routine into your discipline and strength training, complete with how to and pictures.
