I went through every crazy saddle imaginable, including the two butt cheeks one. I was numb my whole ride. I am an Athena Plus and most of my weight is in my mid-section and rear. You can't put that much weight on two sit bones. My sit bones could hard find the saddle! I bought the Selle Royal Ergogel Relaxed Lady City/Touring. It is the first time that my "parts" never get numb. I even bought the same saddle for my mtb. Yeah, it looks a little weird because it's larger than the typical road saddle and cushiony, but who cares. I can ride for days. I do get a little rubbing because of it's width, but a small price to pay, trust me.
And, the best part.....cheap! If you are like me and get numb constantly, try this. And, in answer to anyone's question, yes, I was professionally fit for the bike.
Good luck.

That's good information to have, and so awesome for you--believe me, as a fellow Athena, I have some serious FIT issues with gear and equipment sometimes, ack!!! So far so good on the bike seat, but it's great to know about different options for athletes who have outstanding needs.

did you try the Adamo in your experiments?  I've not tried it yet, but it looks promising.

Thanks for the info.  I've tried out three different saddles this year and all of them have caused serious pain and numbness.  Nice to know there are some out there that might work.

Enjoy riding!!

I had the same numbness problem and some wickced chaffing issues.  then I found this saddle from Terry.  it's actually pink because the proceeds go to breast cancer research.  set me back about $60 but Sooooo  worth it.

 And, yes, it's pink!

I just bought a new saddle as well.  This is my 3rd saddle and this one looks like it is going to be a keeper.  I always had problems with numbness.  I tried this new saddle, one with more cushion and I noticed a difference right away.  The LBS gave me a Desoto sleeve to put on it, it just gives it a little more cushion.  The guy at the shop said that this set-up was the most popular and I can definitley see why.

I did have a Adamo, and I thought that it was going to work, but it was to hard, and I didn't like it.  To each is their own.  I would recommend going to a LBS and testing the saddle out before making a decision.
