I need some help deciding between these two pedals.  Can get both for the same price so that is not an issue.  I know the quattros are about 30 gms heavier.  Is that enough to be cause for concern?  What I like about the quattro is the ability to clip in to either side.  These will be my first pair of clipless so that is appealing to me.  But I have read a couple reviews from people that didn't like them.  The Look Keo Classic seems to be a pretty popular pedal and I cant find a bad review on them so they seem like a pretty safe choice.  Anybody have any opinions on these pedals that could help push me in one direction.

 Thanks in advance

I love the keos. I had some speedplay, double entry kind before and the keos are much better in my opinion.

I've had the crank bros for a couple years now, they were my first clipless pedals and I really like them. I have nothing to compare them to, but I've never had any trouble and learning on them was a breeze.

the only clips I've known are time atac for mtb and keo's for my road machines.  I like the keo's a lot, although a bit disenchanted with the how the cleats, being plastic and such a large profile, can wear out in a season.  $20 to replace isn't bad though.

I very seldom have any trouble with trying to clip in on the back side of the pedals.  they way they are balanced, you nearly aways plant your foot on the correct side to clip in, so I wouldn't consider that an issue at all.

good luck

I've started with the crank brothers candy pedel and have switched to the quattro.....I really like both.  The two way entry is really nice.

Quattros for me.

I've never tried Looks, but have used SPDs (hated them alot) and Speedplay (hated them less)

If you want to save 30 grams, just go to the bathroom before your next ride   although Quattros do come in a lighter titanium model.
