Having just crossed over into the Iron Distance forum, I came across an incredible BTer's story that some of you may know about, but many may not so I thought it was worth sharing here. "Steve" is doing IMKY and IMWI just a week apart to raise money and awareness for a rare disease his wife is battling. Here is his blog, http://www.2foraa.blogspot.com/.

I'mdoing my first IM next year and am already thinking about the training challenges and the sacrifices we all make to reach the IM goal, but this really put it into perspective for me. There are so many inspiring people in our sport. I look forward to cheering Steve on as a volunteer at IMWI this year.

I've known Steve for years. He's a great guy and he's very dedicated to his family so I hope you'll think about donating to his cause. The link the OP has isn't working (I think there's an extra www in there), but this one should:

And the link to donate is here:

Thanks.

Well, 2 ironman triathlons in a week...DONE!

Thx everyone for the love.  While I put more effort into training this year than into raising money and fell short of my goal...I still was able to raise about 1/3 of my goal.

So THANK YOU ALL for the love!

If you still want to donate, there is still time, just go to www.2foraa.org today.
