Subject: OK - Running Gait and cycling form problem - Who to go see? Kinda long thread.First of all, this problem has been ongoing for 2 years now.
It started out as a right foot issue during running and just recently went to a physical therapist for a running gait analysis and he said my right leg is almost half an inch shorter than my left. A couple of cork insoles and it has helped somewhat. Now, in the past few months I am having an issue with my left leg where the knee and leg don't track straight. The left leg flares out on the run and on my cycling upstroke.
I feel like something is misaligned in my back or lower hip area. I have gone to 8 different Dr's in the past 2 years about the right foot issue that started all this and the answers I have gotten have been little help.
I have seen:
2 physical Therapists ( 2 running gait analysis's )
2 orthopedists ( 2 MRI's - 1 - back, 1 -lower right leg )
1 chiropractor
2 Podiatrists
1 Neurologist ( nerve testing on lower right leg )
WHO SHOULD I GO SEE AT THIS POINT????? I feel like I need a good Sports Medicine Dr who has history working with running and cycling issues mechanical issues.
Anyone have some good advice?
