Subject: Experience with Triathlete Zombies

I am looking to wander out of the house to look at/shop for some tri gear and I wonder if any one has had any experience with or recommendations about Triathlete Zombies in Santa Monica?  I have heard mention of the Triathlon Lab in Redondo and would be willing to make a special trip if that is the place to be.  Or - are their multisport stores that  I am just not thinking of as I am doing my searching around?  I can just as easily get over the hill to the valley/Ventura/Thousand Oaks.  Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I've been into the Manhattan Beach store to browse around once or twice, and as I recall it was a bit limited.  Agree that Tri Lab is probably the best.

Tri Zombies had a booth at Breath of Life Tri in Ventura and I wasn't really crazy about their attitude, honestly. I bought a couple small items, but I wasn't really motivated by the experience to visit their store.

In addition to Tri Lab, the Bicycle John's store in Burbank has quite a bit of tri gear. Only the Burbank store, though: no tri stuff to speak of at their Northridge location and only a modest amount at their Acton store. They do discounts for clubs and teams as a general rule.

I've only been to the Triathlete Zombies store in Manhattan Beach. The guy that runs the store is always friendly and extremely helpful. Unless you're looking to buy a new bike, I wouldn't say the selection is limited- it's a small store, but well stocked with clothes, wetsuits, and all manner of tri-related bits and pieces. Plus, if he doesn't have something, he'll get it for you.
