Subject: Full service bike shop in Palm Beach/PGA/Wellington?

Hey gang, I have a good friend and aspiring roadie/triathlete who's looking for a good full service bike shop in the Palm Beach/PGA/Wellington area, or within say 30 miles driving distance?

Does anybody have good experience with one?  One that can do a professional fit for her?  And more importantly, not talk down to her?

TIA!

I bought my first bike in over 15 years last year and so I am pretty sure this shop should/could have smelled my ignorance from a mile away. But I loved my expereince from day 1 of the process and the owner is great to work with. I have stayed loyal through upgrades such as wheels, helmet, shoes etc and always get best advice for me vs. product pushing. Also does all my maintanance tune ups no questions asked when I come in and emails me once in a while jsut to see how the bike is doing! bought a P2SL Cervelo, but he has tons to choose from. It is a small shop, but thought it was great he is really only shop specializing in tri's. They have other Bike/running gear, but he knows tri's well.

Highly recommend Christian at transition-area in Ocean Ridge. Try www.transition-area.com or can can call/email him at:[email protected]

Good luck...

i would suggest J-Town bikes in Juno Beach - they have two locations (one in Juno, the other in Jupiter), the Juno one is definitely more triathlon knowledgeable and they will do a great bike fit and take care of your friend.

Jtown in Juno Beach on Ocean Drive has a great staff and lots of bikes on inventory.

Cycle Science is sort of a bike-snob type shop, but outstanding mechanics.

Old Cycle Science, now Real Deal Family Bicycles in the Publix Shopping Center on Indiantown Rd. is where I bought my P2C.  Owner is a young-guy, used to ride in Europe on U23, girlfriend is an Ironman competitor so he has solid experience and gives a lot of personal attention.
