Registered to do the Langley Tri-it next weekend.  Has anyone done this race before?  What can you tell me about the bike route (mainly flat or really hilly)?  Thanks...

I'm not too familiar with the actual streets in and around the course but I would strongly suggest that you go for a ride or even a drive through the course. For every race I get into I ride the route so I can know where there might be hazards like potholes, crosswalks that can be slippery going around corners if it rains and to know where the hills are all like. If you have the opportunity I would go for it. Just a tip, I find it gives me a better game plan come race day and more confidence knowing the roads. Good luck with it!

Hi, I had a look at the course - there will be a decent hill to climb on the way out on 208th, that would be the biggest one. 40th should be fairly flat. There will also be a few rollers on 224th and 232nd...pretty rural countryside though it will have its traffic. enjoy!

"Decent hill" Ohhh...I am in trouble (lol).  Most of my biking has been in Richmond.  Don't have a whole lot of experience with hills. Was hoping it would be geared more for beginners.

Ah, the way I look at it is "what goes up eventually comes down" - and coming down is fun!!! That's what spurs me on up a hill. Plus hills add course variety - flat gets dull
