Subject: Iron Mountain Triathlon..
Just curious if anyone did it this year?

I signed up for the Police/Fire Games Tri in August. It's the Iron Mountain course and any info on it would be greatly appreciated.

I've also never swam in a wetsuit (I just bought one) or in open water. So, if anyone wants to get together for a swim after next Tuesday, please let me know.

I didn't do the race, but bike that route quite a bit. There is a fair bit of moderate climbing on the stretch from 240th to Dewdney on the back roads and then of course there are the set of pretty steep hills on the back end climbing from 256th back up to whonnock you'll want to keep in mind. Pretty course though, saw a few deer and a coyote on my last trip through. Good luck

I did the bike section as part of a relay team this year. The bike route is great with a bit of everything thrown in. It has a few uphill sections but they are moderately long and not steep. The corners are varied and force you to pay attention if you are doing any kind of speed. There is an awesome downhill as well with a nice sweeping corner that is a ton of fun! I loved the bike route on this course!Have fun out there!
