Well, I must have gotten rid of my cycling shorts some time ago.  Even if I still had them, they'd be twenty years old by now.  Any suggestions on where I could find some reasonably priced cycling shorts in the Columbus area?  If it sells triathlon gear, even better because if I like a store (service, merchadise, price) I stick with them.  Let me know.

all of last years stuff is in there on sale as well,

big brands they carry are zoot, specalized, pearl izumi and a few smaller ones.

Performance has a lot of affordable items and usually is having a sale, but their store-brand stuff doesn't hold up very well.
If you plan to be needing a new size within a year, go for it. If you are investing in some bike shorts you want to have for awhile, go with a name brand item, or shop somewhere else.

Also this will sound strange, but the Volunteers of America thrift store on Indianola separates out their workout gear, and frequently has some pretty nice stuff. If you think it's gross to wear used workout gear, don't go there.

I've shopped there before and at Goodwill.  I know they wash everything first.  I'll go for the cheaper stuff for the workout clothes and get something that's better quality to wear for the events.
