Subject: Half-Ironman next year
Hey,

Does anyone have any recommendations for a HIM in 2010? Preferably fairly close to NYC so it's easy to organise. After surviving the NYC Triathlon a few weeks ago I'm already looking for my next challenge!

you should look into Mightman in Montauk Long Island, from what i have heard it is a great race.  It will also be my first half iron, so look for a race report sometime around October 5th, lol.

Westchester Toughman in Croton Point.  Under an hour to get to from Manhattan and well run, even though it just started last year.

I've done Mighty Man in Montauk the past two years and I'm doing t again.  You can't beat it.  Awesome venue, beautiful course and a challenging race.  Definitely think about it.  Pm me if you have any questions.

I'm mulling over Rev3 in CT. It's in early June.

But you should consider IM Rhode Island 70.3. It's a fun race and a reasonable distance from NYC.
