Subject: RE: how long after acl reconstruction?I waited 9 months. It wasn't on purpose, though. I played indoor (coed ) soccer 6 months after and didn't have problems. Then I started training for the sprint and did great. In general swimming, biking and running (in a straight line ) are good for your recovery. In fact that's how I got into trithalon. The PT suggested swimming and biking for my rehab. I asked him about triathlon and his face lit up. Now he's my regular guy for any pain. Everyone's protocol is different, though. You should talk to your PT and/or ortho. |
