Has anyone done this race? It looks like it would be a lot of fun. My husband and I canoe. He's does not do tris, but this is a little different.

Wow, that really does look like fun. I mentioned it to my wife and she is interested. Our kids are 8 and 12 so the kids race would be perfect for them. Anyone know how technical the mountain bike portion is?

I did a little more research. The Frost Centre is just outside Dorset, which is a beautiful area. The town of Dorset is one of the two bike aid stations for the Muskoka 70.3, which is the following weekend. Hey, maybe you could go up for the week and do this race on one weekend and the 70.3 the following weekend

As long as the bike course is not too technical the only downside for me is that I really wanted to do either Muskoka or Cedar Point the following weekend.

Hey Matt, are you reading this? You were thinking about trying an XTerra and this is pretty close

Haliburton Highlands is a beautiful area. I'm not in the 70.3 league yet, but it would be fun to get a BT group together for this. It does look a bit like Xterra.

On the Xterra note, I was watching a winter one a little while back where they snowshoed, mountain biked and ran (?). I love outdoor adventure stuff!
