...so I don't feel so bad about eating pork rinds. It started when somebody brought a case of them to our office at the hospital after the hurricane. Help. Somebody. Pleeeeeassseeee....

My home town is the world's chicharron capital. Bayamon, the city of chicharrones y tapones (traffic jams) - cool how they rhyme, huh?

The best ones are from roadside carts where you point to the "chunk" of the 40lb slab that you want and they break it off and give it to you wrapped in a brown paper. Ahhh, memories of a former life... If it's sitting in a cart with heat lamps, it's got to be good.

Little known fact, but in PR when you get a really bad sunburn, it's said that you've "chicharroned" yourself - or "te chicharronaste" in the vernacular.
