Gold and copper leaves blow across the logs
And the threads on Cup of Joe are growing weak
Hijacked by the bloated and bored thread hogs
Cold winter is coming and the BT outlook is bleak
They ask and beg and then demand new odes
Grasping fingers longing through wind and cold rain
Longing for spring rides along smooth deserted roads
Bikes ignored in garages, lonely red and blue stains
To Cup of Joe you come, fingers shaking from withdraw
The cold compounded by the end of daylight savings
Trapped inside or braving winters ripping maw
You need odes to hold back winter's lonely raving
Well here I am, with magnificent odes to spare
To entertain you through your flaccid off season
But depend on my entertaining and beware
Forget about the odes and train for a reason
Don't look to Welshy to pass the time
He's busy not training and not preparing
A slight diversion and pretty rhyme
Ask me in February how I am faring
Avoid my sad winter fate
And train with renewed heart
Before it's to damn late
What better time to start?
