Yeah, Google has already admitted that they are having an issue with pedestrians, so what hope have us poor cyclists got?  Of course they had to be testing it on Toyota Prius' too, the "stealth bombers" of the cyclists world!

It adds a whole new dimension to what I commonly hear around here - "I'm sorry, I didn't see you"

Wrong - the car is driverless, not passengerless. So that means that EVERYONE in the car has hands free to slushie you.

If the computers are taking control of the car out of the hands of the drunks/texters, Im going to feel safer on the road.

As the report said though, eventually someone will get hit/killed.  Although the computer will have a better driving record than the rest of humanity, public perception will sour.

Definitely more of a move to the I, Robot future than terminator IMO.
