Subject: RE: Metroplex Sprint TriIt's doable. My first and second ever tris were 800m OWS. I sucked at them both, miserably, but got hooked and am now in my second real season of tris. If you can swim distances already (I couldn't really ), then you'll be fine. But, like the others have said, get in a lake or pond and feel the difference. You can't see in front of you, much less down to the bottom of anything. There are "things" in the water and the tri start is wild. I usually head for the outside and stay clear of people. Yeah, I'm slow, but so what. |
