Subject: Different sorta Abs Challenge?Come January 1, the holidays will be over and many of us will have eaten our way to a few extra unwanted pounds. I have an idea for a really easy but possibly very rewarding challenge. The "Lose The Love Handles Challenge" Specs... 1. Good nutrition. You don't have to follow a strict p/f/c plan or split, but just concentrate on eating clean. Try to cut out high-glycemic carbs (processed sugars, white bread, etc.) and processed/hydrogenated fats (junk food, fast food, etc.) 2. Twice a day, four days a week minimum, complete the following mini-workout... 20 low-to-high woodchoppers each side (if you don't know what these are, ask) 20 side bends on each side 20 crunches that involve obliques (bicycles, lying oblique crunches, half twists, etc.) This entire workout should take less than 5 minutes to complete. You'll still train abs and core with your regular workouts, but add this to your regimen to target and tone the obliques. You choose the time and days you do them, as long as it's a minimum of twice a day for four days a week. You can do more, but those are the minimum requirements. No scoring, no teams, no spreadsheet...just post progress and results in this thread. It would start on 1/1/2008. Any takers? |
