Okay so my weekend just got COMPLETELY flipped upside down on its head! Instead of going down to Pittsburgh, KS tomorrow night and racing my bro on Sat AM, then going to watch Pitt in the PM, I'm going to watch the Huskers get mangled by NMSU! Anybody else going? Tailgating? We'll likely park at my old office on the west shore of Oak Lake and walk there. Give me a ringy dingy if you're gonna be there!

You lucky dog. I'll be at work slaving for the man.

Wait a minute... didn't you work last Saturday too? I'm gonna have to have a little chit chat with your boss...

What happened to the old Brian who was the husker fan who didn't thing they were going to get mangled? Let's be at least a little optimistic. They may lose, but I can't even come to grips with thinking them losing will be a foregone conclusion. Even if they played Georgia or USC right now. You never know, a freak snow storm could roll in and USC could have forgotten their batter powered jock straps to keep their marbles warm.

USC players have marbles? Hmph ... I wouldn't have guessed that.

We were offered tickets but turned them down because A) MRS2Tony hates football and B) they were in like row 90 of the south end zone. I am regretting my decision more and more as game day approaches.

I have sat in row 90 of the South end zone a couple of times. Please do not regreat your decision. Order it on TV and enjoy it in the comfort of your own home. I absolutely love going to the games, but when the angle is that bad, it just isn't much fun other than the atmosphere. Saw both Notre Dame and Penn State from up there.

Okay so maybe I'm just a little bit frustrated right now. I just don't want to be that stereotypical head-in-the-clouds Husker fan that everybody loves to hate, who rants on and on about how good we are when we're really not. I'll put the best construction on it and assume the best [they schedule these non-conference games with a strategy and for a reason] until proven otherwise.

I don't know where our seats are and when my brother asked I replied, "Dude, they're IN the STADIUM! That's better than TV any day!" We're in it for the atmosphere more so than the perspective so that's cool with us.
