They're factory rejects from the shop that builds Felt's frames, or they're first-run frames pulled out of the line just before finishing and being illegitimately sold online. Not worth it either way, IMHO.

And they are not current release design.  Those are the old ones.

Lots of factories in Asia produce many different manufacturers models and as long as they not doing any patent infringement they can usually re-badge and sell a frame under a different name.

There are also some factories out there that produce generic frames and then companies buy them in bulk and put on their name/logo and sell them as their product.

And just remember when you're asking yourself "Why pay $800 for decals?" Remember that the decals are bundled with the guy at the other end of the phone line and some customer service.

While this is true, my current carbon bike was sold under 20+ different names worldwide, I still bought it from a reputable source. 

There may be nothing wrong with the frame the OP is looking at, or it might be trash.  no way of knowing.

Correct.

Never said they were not quality products, just that there are factories that do that.
