Hi folks!  Thanks for all you do ...love all the features.

Data is different for HR zones between Garmin and BT.  I have my zones set the same in both places, I think.  90% zone is not showing anytime in BT.  Ideas?

Here is what was uploaded:

50% - 60%90 - 10848s
60% - 70%108 - 12606m 07s
70% - 80%126 - 14421m 38s
80% - 90%145 - 16218m 35s
90% - 100%163 - 180

Garmin shows

50% - 60%90 - 10838s
60% - 70%108 - 12606m 59s
70% - 80%126 - 14419m 24s
80% - 90%145 - 16217m 45s
90% - 100%    163 - 180   09m 20s

thanks!!!

Ann

thanks in advance for any assistance.

Garmin Training Center and MotionBased don't match up either and Garmin owns MotionBased.

They'll probably never match across applications. I have no idea what algorithm the programmers who wrote Garmin Training Center used to do their totals, but there are a number of different ways to go about it.

Still, what you have there looks unusual. I'll take a look at the HR data in the morning.

Ours basically takes each rtept data point, grabs the HR, sees which HR zone it's in (based on your BT defined HR Zones) checks the timestamp for the datapoint, and adds the time difference from the previous datapoint to the total for that zone. Differences can come into play when deciding how to handle cases like when the previous data point was in a different HR zone. Do you assume that this whole new data point was in the new zone or do you split it up? There are a number of considerations like that, all of which can lead to differences in the way the data gets totalled.

Good catch Ann!  There actually was a logic problem with the way upper HR zones were totaling sometimes.  Occassionally it was underreporting. I've uploaded a fix, so if you upload that workout data again, it should total to 9:31 in your upper zone.

Cool, thanks for researching further!  I'll try again tonight when i get home!

Figured there would be some differences between the data, but thought I'd see some in the upper zones.

Thanks!!!

Hi there!

I reloaded the data and no upper HR....deleted the workout and still no upper HR zone. also added an additional workout to see if I could get the upper limit to work.  No luck.

Do I need to do anything else?

THANKS> Ann

It's possible that the old version of the javascript file is still in your browser cache.

Go the "add a workout" page and type CTRL+F5 to clear the cache, then upload the workout and let me know the result.
