Subject: Winter Running Race Calendar?

Hey guys!

 

Hope the off-season is going well for everyone!!!  Hopefully you're enjoying a nice cold brew or glass of wine while reading this!

 I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a Race Calendar for running races, whether they be Road or Cross Country, since I haven't been able to find one.  I'm just not running fast enough to travel and race with the UBC team, and even though I have the opportunity to race at Regionals (got picked with 12 other guys), I dont feel like I am ready to race at the level the coach expects, regardless of how well training has been going.

I obviously want to race, since I've been putting in the hours, and I want to see where they've gotten me to!

Can anyone help me out?

Try the Running Room website.  They list many races in BC and let you sign up on line.

You can also look at the results @ raceheadquarters:

That will show you the events that took place during the previous months.
There are probably some other timing websites, not sure what they are.

Thanks guys!  I used to check a race calendar on Impact magazine's website, and it had races from Tris--> fun 5ks and stuff.  For some reason, they discontinued that part of the website, but this compiled list should definitely help!

Another option is to just walk into the local Running Room store (or Frontrunners out in your area) they usually have a wall of fliers for all the upcoming races.
