Subject: RE: What Brand Helmet does Thor Hushovd Have?Freshjive - HOLY VENTS! This would rock on hot days... not very aero though Living in East Texas, you can understand why this helmet appeals to me. I went for a quick ride (28 miles ) this morning around 7:30am. When I had finished my iced coffee (mmm... espresso and a shot of caramel with a smidge of cream ) and arrived home at 10:30am, it was already 96 degrees. Darn hot ... 'nuf said. According to the Catlike website, the helmet has a total of 39 vents. I counted 30 vents on front, so there must be 9 smaller vents on back for air to exit. dalessit - Again to add for some reason they are not CPSC certified so careful using them in Tri's. I did just read though that U.S. Cycling has added the European helmet standard to its approved list which the whisper does have. I was just going to ask if they were legal for USAT races. Any chance that USAT will do the same as US Cycling and add the European helmet standard to its approved list? -Joel |
