Taking the family to see Mickey in two weeks. This is right in the middle of my lead up to first 1/2 IM. Do any of you know of a good place to get in my swim workouts? Thx!

What a great site.  My favorite quote from the main page, in response to the question "Are there alligators in the lake?":

When you do an open water swim you enter the food chain.

That lake swim is great. One day I went there were about 8 of us and another day there were about 20 or so. The only gators I saw were the concrete ones the guy has beside his dock. Turtles and fish, yes. Gators, no.

If weather, etc, doesn't lend itself to OW practice, I recently was there on vacation and swam at the YMCA off international drive right by SeaWorld, etc. They have a 50m and 25m pools, cost 10 bucks per person to use the facilities. No membership required for out of town visitors. Found the info on swimersguide.com
