So my pool (YMCA) is closed for 3 weeks. 3 weeks! To install some fancy drain covers. Wow. Oh, and this applies to ALL Madison area YMCAs, not just mine. They couldn't stagger them, apparently. Brilliant. Now I have to swim somewhere else, that I didn't already pay for. Lovely. As if just scheduling IM training wasn't hassle enough.

Sorry, had to vent.

They did the same thing to all the Y's in the Milwaukee area last summer.  I don't know if it was the same reason, but I was just told it was for "Maintenance" for two weeks.  Very inconvenient.

Yep, it's gone through the rounds of pools here.

If it helps, for 5 bucks I can take you to the SERF pool at 11:00 tomorrow. Beautiful 50m pool.

I'm actually good until 8/16, which is when they close. Thanks for the offer though.

 My pool was closed for a month for this...in APRIL. At least you have the option of swimming outside right now.

i feel your pain - my local pool is closed the last week of august and first week of September - and me with a half iron the day before IM-WI
