Welcome to BT!!!

I'm not from your area - but I would try the "Routes" section of this website - do a search in your area to see if anyone has logged routes.  Also - check with your local Running Room (or other running store) as they often have a run club of some sort that runs together.  (That way you can also meet other runners in your area!)

Welcome to BT, DarkWing!

Definitely check out the Burlington Running Room. There are group runs from the RR on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings. It really is a great way to meet other runners and get to know the Burlington area at the same time.

Lakeshore trail is a great trail for running and there is another trail, name slips my mind, that goes up diagonally from downtown following the power lines North-East to Sherwood Forest park on Burloak.

As far as a place to workout and swim, there are a few pools in Burlington with 25M lengths for lap swimming and the YMCA in Oakville that has a 25M pool as well as full gym.  You can try the Y for $5 per visit.
