Thinking about getting some Rolfing therapy done.  Never done it before but from the little research that I have done I think I may benefit from it.  I was wondering is anyone here has any experiance with the people who provide it here in Boston.  Any comments about its effectiveness, the providers or the cost would be greatly appriated.

I have had a 10-session course done but don't think it helped much.  For me is chronic posture issue.
If you are interested in a recommendation, I can PM you info of a therapist in Burlington.

I had a few sessions 4-5 done and don't think it helped me. It is expensive and not covered by insurance. I found a PT who did similar work but different methods that helped me significantly more.

So I just finished a 12 session program. Among other things, I gained 1 inch in height. Posture is better and my gate is much better. This has helped tremendously with running. Further I learned a lot about symmetry issues with my body and feel like I understand how things work better.ya ya a little holistic and alternative but I am a huge fan and was somewhat skeptical going in. I used Daphne Berwind-Dart in Cambridge. She is amazing. http://www.cambridgerolfing.com/PM me if you want more info..BTW - not painful, pressure can be intense sometimes but you feel euphoric afterwards.$130 per session

Did you have a specific injury you were healing?  I am interested to know more about the PT who does similar work because rolfing is very expensive.

core structural therapy is a form of rolfing-there is a person in Burlington I would highly recommend- -definitely helpful to me with injurues/issues not helped by mre conventionsl means like PT...think it probably depends a lot on what the underlying issue is- but I was at a standstill til went to him...

I went to the same guy.  We have different issues and I am glad it works on you.  I didn't see much effect on me.  ART (Active release therapy) on the other hand, helps to speed up my recovery after my injury.
