Subject: Husband on crutches.... ugh!!!

DH blew out his knee at work Saturday.  Well, long story short... he's here now on the sofa, we await a 4:45pm MRI appointment.  "Probably damaged the ACL to some extent".   We will make a decision when we get results of that.  Can't do much on the weekend.   He's driving me crazy, he never sits still for more than 30 minutes except to sleep.  And I am realizing how much I depend on him to help me with the house, kids, etc in ways I didn't even notice before.  So now I'm keeping the bitching to a minimum.

Anyways....   he had signed up for a little bitty tri, that I did last year, so fun.  Put on by the local PD. Cops everywhere!   I was going to do Suncoast the day before that, but now looks like we will be calling the RD and asking if he can transfer DH's entry over to me.  It was going to be his first tri, and he was so looking forward to it.

My next race is the Publix fling at FT DeSoto on Aug 20.  Gee, sounds like everyone's signing up for the tri AND the mile swim!  Do I dare?

Was walking through something that covers the propeller (I have no idea what it is- it's huge and goes all the way around these huge ship propellers that are like 20 feet high).  Well, it was wet and there was stuff in the puddle he didn't see, so instead of falling on his ass, he fell on an anchor chain that was piled up there.  Knee went the "wrong" way and gave out.

Yeah, we're gonna get workmen's comp.

I called the Imaging place. Can't get them to release report to me till 48hrs after the ortho has received them, which was either this afternoon or will be tomorrow morning.  So now we're still sitting tight till the Ortho calls, which I (and he) hope will be Wednesday morning.  In the meantime, I'm working extra when I can, which is needed cause another tech is taking FMLA.
