OK, so not "literally" on a bike but........

Polish man gets on his bike, ends up in London
WARSAW (Reuters) - An 84-year-old man, missing since he left home to ride his bike in the small central Polish town of Znin last week, has been found in good health wandering around London's Heathrow airport, Polish police said Wednesday.

"According to the family, he just took his bike and left," a police spokesman said.

He said police had been searching for the man, identified as Ludwik Z, when they got a telegram from the Polish consulate in London informing them he was safe and sound in London.

"The family have been unable to explain how he got to London," the spokesman said. "He doesn't speak English and has no friends or family in England, though he did take enough money with him to buy an air ticket."

Since joining the European Union last year, Poles have been flocking to London to work.

I've got some crosscountry bike tours I'd love to do.

One is to bike across Cuba, if I'm ever allowed to.

Then there's this one I came up with the other night.

I've always wanted to travel to the arctic. I've not had the chance as yet. We watched March of the Penguins the other night, and it got me thinking about arctic/antarctic travel.

So now I'm thinking about what a bike trip from Philly to the arctic circle would be like. I'd love to make it as far as a body of water that had ice floating around in it.

I'm curious about any BTrs who have made bike tours.

I was thinking that the Silver Comet Trail from Smyrna to the Alabama was far! A bike across the country would be pretty sweet, as well.

Is this associate from Guatemala? Curious cause I'm from there and I was planning a "motorcycle" trip to Guate. but on a bicycle?? More power to her/him.
