Subject: RE: First Sprint TriREAD READ READ!!! Then get in the pool and try to remember as many things as you read. Try them out. See what feels comfortable to you. Perhaps nothing will at first. But keep at it. I went from never swimming in a race to swimming in my first tri (June 2005) in a month. I swam every day for the two weeks before the race. I read every swimming book I could get my hands on. You'll do fine! Alot of this is getting over the fear of open water swims. I couldn't imagine what it'd be like doing 400m in the open water last year...and now I find myself shrugging at anything under 800. You'll get there too!! Good luck! And of course WELCOME TO BT!! |
