I thinking about this while I was watching the Chicago Bears kick the Lions' butts today.

What is the best song that you are sure that no one has ever heard before?

(Now, I know this is an impossible question, because at least someone has heard that song..) However, I am thinking from the context of a song that you REALLY like, but it never got any airplay, you don't know of a lot of people that listen to that band/group/artist, etc...

Now, I had a hard time pinning only ONE song down so, I listed a few....

"Too Young" by Phoenix
"The Shadowlands" by Ryan Adams (Not Bryan Adams)
"Ballerina out of Control" by The Ocean Blue
"Huddle Formation" by The Go! Team
"Morning Song" by Zero7
"La Femme D'Argent" by Air

Anyhow, that is my list...I am always into hearing new bands and finding about everyone's tastes in music. List away!

No Love Today by Chris Smither. The live version is preferable.

OK, MIke, I'll see your Chris Smither, and raise you Patty Griffin's "Moses"

And I'll throw in Martin Sexton's "Over my Head"

Try this out.  It's a band called Battery Park from here in Colorado.  The song is Coming Home.  The whole album is very good in my opinion.

I've said these before - but my husband's songs.   My favorites are Don't Ever Want to Die and Old Saddle.

Other than that there was this band I heard in college - I think they were called In the Attic?  They had a song called Gummy Bears that helped us enjoy a strange afternoon.  "Gummy bears, dancing here and there and everywhere...."  They were some local band from Rye, NY - I haven't been able to find it since.

Change "dancing" to "bouncing" and you have a late 80's Disney cartoon.
