Champion 26509 Sydney | Subject: TDF Bike Challenge WEEK 2 RESULTS After two weeks of racing our BT teams are all over the halfway mark of the challenge and about to hit it hard for the home stretch. All competition rides FINISH by 12 midnight on Sunday (your local time). Of the 73 riders taking part, each rider on average has completed at least 8 stages to date. On average each rider is aiming to complete almost 12 stages for the challenge and has completed almost 69% of their goal. This week a HUGE congratulations is in order for Barloworld rider DMarkSwan whose wife gave birth to a Barlo Baby, Xander, 8lbs 5oz. CONGRATULATIONS!
Team Wrap Up:
Astana The sad news in the last 24 hours about the removal of Astana from this years Tour De France, our own Team Borat have completed over half of their goal. They are taking the ribbing from other teams with their good humour which has continued to amuse throughout the challenge. Funny guy Z-Dog completed 3 bricks in 3 days this week… who needs artificial help when you train like that?
Goal Stages: 77 Achieved Stages: 41 Percentage Achieved: 53.25%
Barloworld This team was the first to have a rider complete their goals when zipp1 surprised everyone reaching 10 rides this week. Team Leader TriAya ventured out on her first group ride and didn’t get dropped, Josh_Kaptur is churning out some monster ride (so not a newbie anymore), sf_biggest looser (the other Josh) is still confined to a stationary bike following last weeks bike v. deer incident AND wurkit_gurl is churning out the PRs. Wow with so much info in one sentence did I make sense?
Goal Stages: 80 Achieved Stages: 62 Percentage Achieved: 77.50%
Credit Agricole Team leader sappho96 has been tied up fundraising for her swim club picking up prizes all over town. Katzchen55 has been battling storms, Naners hills and Tri-FatBoy the heat. Meanwhile, Shermbelle continues to amaze the team with his LOOOONG miles!
Goal Stages: 85 Achieved Stages: 53 Percentage Achieved: 62.35% Discovery TexOma’s new bike has been fitted and its pure magic, looks really hot too (if you haven’t seen it check out his log!). Bookend was the second rider in the challenge to finish ALL of his ride meeting the goal of 12. Drdi has been out trying to out ride the big black storm clouds, BikerGrrl is battling on despite being stuck in a hotel and captain Freckle Face is holding everyone together with style
Goal Stages: 91 Achieved Stages: 67 Percentage Achieved: 73.63%
Euskaltel Euskadi The riders in France are travelling through the Basque homeland in the tour today, the Pyranees. our own Euskaltel Riders are also heading towards home with just 40% of rides left to go! Lil Turtle watched the tour for the very first time – Hooray!!! Welcome to the madness J
Goal Stages: 98 Achieved Stages: 58 Percentage Achieved: 59.18%
Predictor Lotto Sprinter Robbie may be out but long term conteder Cadel is hanging on and Predictor Lotto is well on pace to take it as the silent Ender Shadow got back from holiday, KathyD checked out some HOT Zipp race wheels on ebay and Paul Walker has been sidelined with work but is looking forward to the run into Paris.

Team CSC STOP THE PRESS: CSC rider Jens just announced in the team thread he has finished all 21 rides of his TDF Challenge… a little late to count for last week but a MASSIVE effort!!! Master 3546 Millersville, MD | Subject: RE: TDF Bike Challenge WEEK 2 RESULTS Cinderalla story, I tell ya. Go Barlo! Madcow - you can't talk smack and then have "accounting errors" you know! I say madcow and the entire team have to withdraw from the tour too! Congrats everyone for some great riding... I know someone is going to try to sprint past Barlo on the final week (after you sucked our wheel the whole challenge)... but we've still got some legs under us. Woo hoo! I'm cranking out two rides a day since I won't be around this weekend- none of them are incredibly long, but considering this is my first tri, that's some freakin' dedication Speaking of sprinting, I have recently discovered "sprinting" as a necessary, effective and downright sexy way of passing the long caravans of yuppie families. It's fun to make them eat my dust. |

Elite 3489 Lakewood, CO | Subject: RE: TDF Bike Challenge WEEK 2 RESULTS Just so people don't get confused. CSC is not back at the team cars, just an issue with the transponders on the bikes. We are at 79/109 for 72.4%. Just eyeing up the competition poised to make an attack at the finish for the team title.
