OK, I did a stupid thing yesterday..I went to Nordstroms and tried on jeans.  I was wondering if I could fit into a 26 instead of a 27 since I have lost a few pounds recently and have been doing the ab challenge.  I said to myself "Just try them on...do NOT buy ANOTHER pair of $100+ jeans!" Well of course I tried on the size 26 and they fit...and they make my legs look so damn skinny...and I looooove them.....I told them to hold em for me, then I left.  They are haunting me.  They are calling me.  The mojo flows in those jeans, man.  What should I do??  I went to Forever 21 after that and tried on $30 dollar jeans, no mojo though...

Think about it this way.  You are working hard to lose weight and get smller...these jeans will probably not fit you in another month.  Pick a smaller size as a goal and when you hit it...buy them!

Are you crazy??  I am too cheap to spend that much on a pair of jeans so I am going to tell you no.  But everyone is different.

I love GAP jeans and they fit me well, and compared to your jeans they are cheap!  I would rather spend $165 to upgrade my aerobars, get a new bike jersey or bike shorts, or get some new cute runing clothes!  But like I said...that's just my personal perference.  I treat myself with new tri gear and running clothes

Yeah, I love my $19.99 Gap Jeans too. But if I can fit into a pair of 7, I sure will buy them. My thunder thighs and pot roast calves are telling me that I will never fit into a pair of 7. Sigh.. I say get them but pay with cash.

I feel your pain haivn muscular legs- no flare jeans for me!  I have to stick to the boot fit cut so my cycling legs aren't exploding out of my jeans!  I'm only 5'1" so it makes it harder to find jeans

Well, I felt like the new cut Gap jeans are worth $100. I love them and they were on sale for $20 last week! Regular $58-$68, but still much cheaper than $165.

Step away from the jeans...

165 dollars for a pair of jeans? Does it come with a warranty? Personally I couldnt spend a 165 dollars for a pair but all your hardwork warrants a gift to yourself; so if you have the money I say go for it. One thing though, without a picture of you in the jeans this thread is worthless.

I have no idea.  But being the cheepie I am, most my jeans come off the rack at Goodwill

I'm hitting the 75% off  Dillards rack later today.

"The mojo flows in those jeans, man"

What else is there to say? I thought I sensed some turbulance in the mojo fields yesterday.  Spandex and lycra are great, but there's nothing like a woman in the right pair of jeans. Think about the versatility...you can wear jeans out and be dressed up, or you can wear them with a t-shirt and give the men of Home Depot chest pains while you compare paint chips. Seriously. For the sake of mankind...

I'm a stingy Virgo so when I come across something expensive that I love I tell myself to wait for a sale. If I can find them on sale in my size, then it was meant to be & I buy them. If not, it's really no loss. It's just an article of clothing after all.

Most of my jeans last like 10 years. That's only $16.50 a year, or $1.38 a month over the life of the jeans. And...they just get better with age.

This sounds like a take off from "What Not To Wear."

"And here we have Jessica, stylish in her new form flattering jeans for $160. Her pink spaghetti strap top with sequined applique is $95, and she has followed Stacey's and Clinton's suggestion to accentuate her slim waist with a cute denim jacket for $310. Completing the wardrobe with a pair of blue Italian 4" sling-back heels for $400 and she's ready for an afternoon lunch with friends!"

OK Jess....can we see another outfit please?

$165 for a pair of jeans! ARE YOU NUTS!!! Are you my daughter? I am with Runnergirl. I'd put the $165 into euqipment of some kind that helped me go faster or with less pain (maybe even towards TI classes).

Jessica, it's a very tough call when the mojo flows. I'm a GAP girl myself, but flowing mojo... oh so hard to resist. The difference between looking great and looking stunning... Priceless.

Good luck, whatever you decide.

I think I am going to buyy the damn jeans.  I put them on hold, I waited, I left the mall without them yeaterday...and they are still calling me..If I get them, I promised Aaron I would put my pics up in the Before and After thread so everyone can see how fat I used to be and understand why I would spend 165 bucks on skinny jeans (and no I am not getting any smaller - I've lost enough weight, thank you very much!)
