This whole crazyness started with a used mountian bike and now I am preparing for my second tri season.
I wanted to improve fitness and found planning races awsome motivation to keep training.

Newbies unite! Do you have any blogs with your previous experiences there? I've found the greatest tool here to be the training logs... both my own and those of others. I'm getting ready to do my first tri this saturday and I'd like to hear your "lessons learned" and what not so as not to make the same mistakes or re-invent the wheel in any way. At any rate, WELCOME from another newbie.

Hey Ivan,

It all starts somewhere... a used MTB just makes it all the more memorable. It's like that childhood first car... mine was a 1980 Plymouth Volare w/ 30,000 original miles. in the winter, i'd have to unscrew the carborator [gasp, the youngins now adays don't even know what that is] and pour just enough gasoline in the middle because there was some sort of blockage that happned. SO, looking back i have very fond memories of my first junky car i called 'superman'.
