Hey, all.  I just wanted to post some good words about the people at TriSports in Tucson.  I made the trip on Saturday for a swim stroke analysis, and it was totally worth the trip.  They videotape you both from above and with an underwater camera, analyze what you are doing wrong, help to correct you, and record you again with the corrections.  Then they burn a DVD for you to take home.  I really expect this to be the best money I have spent on training in a long time.

In addition, the store has a really good selection and is well staffed.   If you happen to be in the area, I highly recommend stopping in.

I love this store for its enormous clearance racks and abundance of clothing in my size. I actually try to stay away from there because of this.

I have that same problem with the Plaza in Tucson.

I couldn't agree more, what a great place. I made my first pilgrimage this spring: Picked out a new wetsuit online, then drove to the store and tried it out to see if it fit right in the water. After 5 minutes I was done with the suit but asked if I could swim a bit more and they had no problem with that. It felt wonderful after a 4-hour drive to get to Tucson and I was totally fascinated by the endless pool.

Then I ended up in such a good mood that I spent another $200 on stuff I didn't have on my shopping list...

Funny thing is i have been to this store a number of times for no other reason than to spend money on gear I do not need.  The only issue I ever have is I always forget how to get there (last month StandsWithFist had to phone in directions for me!)

However, All of the staff I have ever interacted with has been out-standing people in the beginner tri-athlete world!

If you have not gone - go to Tucson, if too far, then visit the website!

One more thought on a trip to Tri-Sports... Set aside time to chat with the folks there. They REALLY know their stuff and there are lots of first rate toys -- fine equipment -- to review and add to our stash of stuff.  So, it is worth the drive but set aside lots of time and have a credit card with a high limit...  Emerson of Catalina...
