My son who is 11 is training for his 1st Sprint.  He is quite small (4'7" ) and I've been trying to find a tri-suit or at least tri shorts for him and I can't find anything!  Any suggestions out there as to where they can be purchased?

Try the Zoot brand, they have a Youth line called Protege.  I found out about it via my local running store.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I checked it out.  Everyplace on the internet only has x-lg left and when I called Zoot directly, they said they were sold out until Feb!!!

It would be so great to find a pair for him, so if anyone else has a suggestion, I'd love to hear it!

Get him in a pair of speedo jammers and then get one of the Target C9 wicking tops or an underarmour compression top to wear on top.

At the end of the season like we are now, it may be hard to find the youth tri stuff.

Works for my 6 year old but his bike legs are measured in yards not miles...

Then again, jammers are all I have worn in Sprint and Oly distance races, so he should be just fine in those.

this is where I got my girls tri suits - it is a Canadian site so I am not sure how that would work out for you....

http://www.trigeeks.ca/zoot.htm (scroll down to the bottom of the page)

but fyi - my girls are 7 and 9 and I got them both the small/medium - and they are snug (as they probably should be) on my 9 year old.

here they are:

I can relate, my son will be his size when he's 11!  He's 9 YO at ~4'4"/ 58 lbs.  He's a swimmer and sports freak in general and wants to do another kids tri.

BTW, what's are his race distances?

How about using youth riding gear instead? Here's a pair of Cannondale riding shorts, size small available here for $30?  Small is in stock!

Here's another brand for $28 (yes in black/s!)

Definitely this for a jersey ! Cool

Thanks so much for all your suggestions.  I think I've got something to work with now.  He's been wearing regular running shorts for his practice rides (14 miles) and the race is 13 miles, so I think the comment about the jammers is good, those will probably be fine.
