Subject: pools for training in avalon/stone harbor
I will be vacationing in stone harbor in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone knows of any pools in the area I can use while I am there. I assume I can pay daily at most gyms.

Not sure about a pool, but if the dates are right, there is an open-water clinic being run by Mid-Atlantic Multisport at the yacht club on Sat 6/20 and Sat 7/18.  I attended one of their bootcamps, and highly recommend them: http://www.midatlanticmultisport.com/open_water_clinic.html

If the OWS doesn't work out, why not contact them and ask if they are running any pool training classes in the area.  It's worth a shot.  Good luck.

thanks. I was thinking about doing the class on June 20th if I can get down there in time.


anyone else with suggestions on pools for lap swimming in the area? either inside or out.

Ocean City has a good pool, expensive for the day pass I think $12. I live there so not so bad.
If you want to do some open water Ocean Swims I am always game.

This should be a great resource for you.  http://www.oceancityswimclub.org/ My buddy swims with them on the weekends and says it is great.

thanks for the info guys! that should help.

I am not a big fan swimming in the open water alone plus half the time i go to the beach, the lifeguards won't let you out beyond 20 yards.
