I can't believe they are making this into a movie. I am SOOOOOOO excited. Finally a movie I actually want to see.

The game is/was awesom, if anyone remembers WAAAAY back in the 90's when it pioneered the first person shooter games. Heh-heh- I am so thrilled. :-)

I just remember the computer engineering guys taking up all the machines in the computer lab playing it. I'm still bitter.

LOL!! I remember playing it all day and night my freshman year in college on my room-mates computer. It's amazing how far the games have come in 10 years - DOOM has some incredible graphics and sound. In full Digital Surround Sound on a big screen HDTV, these games come alive.
Oh bother. Can't play them much anymore. Something about 2 kids...

Or Street Fighter or Wing Commander or Double Dragon or Resident Evil or Mortal Combat Annihilation (Personally I kinda liked the first one) or dare I even say aloud... Super Mario Brothers...

Looks pretty sweet as long as they don't go over the top with the first person perspective that they showed in the trailer. Although I think that might have just been for the trailer.

I suppose they could go overboard with the first person aspect. But from a cinematic standpoint, I would be really interested in seeing just what they can do with the first person view of combat. I'm not sure it's been done before in a mass released movie. That's part of what made the game so scary in the first place. Tell me you wouldn't jump in your seat if they were able to capture that part of the game well. Doom 3 isn't as scary as the first 2, but there are plenty of times when those things jump from the ceiling and I freak.

I'm amped. I've wasted countless hours playing Doom. It is the second greatest FPS of all time.

I didn't like the DOOM 3 for PC.... I remember playing it on Playstation years ago and thought that was ok....  But this new version was just too difficult.  Must be getting old.

Movie would be interesting though.
