newbiedoo's "wish list" thread, and the comment about time travel, really got me thinking.  does anyone out there love the Back to the Future movies nearly as much as I do???

1 and 3 were cool. 2 gave me migraines. Too bad that #4 never came about... stupid Parkinson's.

2 is definitely the weakest of the trilogy  i watched it again a few weeks ago (proud owner of the trilogy DVD set), and it wasn't nearly as bad as i had remembered it.  there are a lot of things that happen in 2 that make the connections for the others

I didn't like the 2nd and 3rd much, but the first is possibly the best plotting I have ever seen in a movie. Everything, and I mean everything, is tied together so well. References to Japanese computer chips, space aliens, Van Halen, Ronald Reagan, and on and on. It cracks me up every time. (And from a parent side, you can watch it with the kids.) Great fun.

I love movies with a good tight plot.

Not only was #1 totally satisfying on the geek-loving time travel theme, but wickedly funny to boot!

The first one was very good, or so I remember.  And like most sequels the rest of them blew...
