I'm sensing a lot of hostility out there today.  Don't know why.  Solar flares?

Food for thought:  I'm going to a wake in an hour.  Don't post me a bunch of sympathies because it's not for someone I knew well, although I feel terrible for my bud.  It's his mom.  61, third go around with cancer.

Anyway, I'm posting this because when life's little annoyances seem to be bigger than they really are there are two things that really put things in perspective for me.  One used to be skydiving, which I don't do anymore, but feels like the ultimate celebration of life.  The other is death.

There's life, and death.  Everything else is bumps along the road.  If the bumps get too big, get a better suspension.

Blue skies, all.

I had a friend who had surgery and was pissed she would be on crutches for about a week.  So on her crutches I wrote "At least its not a wheelchair"   Remember, things can always be worse.

I agree with the original post. Though speaking for myself and my posting today, sometimes it's really helpful to share those little day to day frustrations in order *to* get perspective, that's my favorite aspect of COJ.

Haven't read that many threads, but the gay marriage thread didn't seem angry. I certainly hope I didn't come off as angry. Just providing my point of view.

Hangloose, sometimes your depth surprises me.  Thanks for the head yank-we all need that from time to time.
