Another question/ request for our amazing leadership team here at BT

Okay, so I am entering in information off of custom foods, and everything is going find copying over the data from the label, until I get to the Vitamins and Minerals section, then i run into the hassle of having to convert 4% of Vitamin A to x number of mgs (or whatever.) Is there a way to put in a side by side column that gives you the choice to either enter in the actual measurement, or the percentage? I know the percentage is based off of the FDA's Daily Recommended Values, but those numbers haven't changed for over 20 years I think.

What do you all think?

Ahhh...I was afraid you were going to ask me that     You're not the first, but I will make you the last.  My programmer and I have discussed this before and what we can do is have a 'back calculation' so you enter the % and it will spit out the mg's for things having the recommended daily allowance.

How about I will put it up for the items to do this month....I will get back to this thread when done.

Gentlemen, we have just added the %DV to nutrient weight for 'custom' foods.  They are based on a 2,000calorie diet and the calculations are from 1998 recommendations: http://www.netrition.com/rdi_page.html  Let me know if you know of more current ones.

The attached pic explains it all, just hit the %DV button and input the number based on a 2K calorie diet, it will then spit-out the nutrient weight.

BETA!  Please check the math, let me know if any errors.

Just want to let you know that I've been using it since Monday and so far everything seems to be working just fine. I think it's great!
