Subject: RE: Flat Spotting tires on TrainerOriginally posted by PigeonTri
Afternoon All,
Plenty of time being spent on trainer, which is good. I have been pulling a lot of rubber off the tire, which now has a significant flat top. I can see the wear holes put in to determine tread depth.
How square is too square? What are the disadvantages to this? Obviously they should be rounded as they are delivered.
Any insight is helpful.
Thanks,
Steve
If you can still see the holes, you're fine. They will square off riding on the road as well. That said, a direct drive trainer will pay for itself over time just in tire replacements. I never used a separate trainer tire but I went through a few clinchers each year. |
