Subject: Route won't import
I am trying to import a route from Motion based and am only getting a few tenths of a mile.  I have used the feature before so I am not sure why it is not working.  Does anyone have any ideas?

It looks like the route is made up of more than one track segment which the import doesn't handle.  Can you export it as only one segment?

I don't know?  I did the export just like I did in the past.  When I swam I would stop and hit the start/stop button on my watch so it only shows as 1 lap which is what I did last week and it worked fine.

I editted it, it's in the attachment in my post above.

Try that.

Thanks, that worked kind of.  It cut of about a quarter mile but it will do.

Thanks for your help.

Marmadaddy - I think I have somethine similar happening with one of the bike routes I am trying to upload.  Not all of the route shows up.  When I view the .GPX file in notepad I see that there are 4 separate <trkseg> groupings.  These being where I stopped to refill by water bottle or was stopped at a traffic light (I have the auto-pause feature turned on on my Garmin).

Can I just remove the </trkseg><tkrseg> html markers leaving just the first <trkseg> and last </trkseg> markers?

Thanks,

Steve

Yes. That's what I did for the file above.  If someone could do an experiment with the Auto pause feature on their garmin, that would be a huge help. I don't have one so I'm limited in what I can do with testing.

What sort of experiment do you want done?  I'm all up for helping you.
