Is there anyone from Guelph that rides around Guelph lake conservation area at all? If so is it always that windy? The 3 times I've been there its been pretty windy, but today tops it all, Man that was a strong wind, nice for coming back but geeez. Is it always like this or is it just my luck? I'm hoping it's not like that for Guelph 2.

I'm from Guelph and am currently living in London and can't recall Guelph being all that windy.  I've done GL1 and 2 for a couple of years now and didn't really notice the winds.  Perhaps you are just having the luck (good or bad, depends on how you look at it) of training in windy conditions.  Just think of how "easy" the race will seem after all your hard work

Good luck to ALL racing next weekend. If you have a chance get BT put on your other leg. Then we may be able to hook up with each other (pre or post race).

220km riding with a group of motivated and caring individuals isn't to bad. The biggest issue I had was running out of water due to a mix up (no 50 km water stop). Lack of water/e-load resulted in leg cramps at about 90 km... which I ended up having the rest of the day. It was a hard day... but not as hard as ANY of the days that the kids we were supporting have regularly.

I hope it makes my bike EXTRA strong at Guelph 2.

Dude, if you can do that ride, you'll have NO problem at Guelph, except you might have to do a 100k just to get warmed up.haha

good job tho on supporting the kids, thats awesome of you.

So BT on the opposite calf of the AG?
