How hilly is the bike course? My weakest split will be my run. Very strong on the bike, can usually keep it over 25mph for a sprint, avg 22.5 on a hilly OLY last aug. I have been working on my swim for the last 3 months, have come a long way. Trying to get a feel for how hard I will be able to go on the bike. My run pace doesnt change wether Im tired or not, Im just SLOW and steady. On the bike HR usually btw 175-185. On the run, 130-140. Im clearly not pushing hard enough, but running is much harder to me, natural cyclist.
Did the philly half marathon last sunday. Really didnt pust it, wanted to run the whole thing, no walking. (wanted to see what 13.1 feels like ) I did it in 2:40 (yes, Im SLOW ) 12:10 mile pace. I have got thru 2 years of tri's without run training, just toughed it out. I ran 12's in 3 of the races I did. Only one race I tried to push it on the run, and ran 10:50 pace. I have been off the bike since oct, just working on LSD runs, and swimming. Im happy with my progress so far.
I will be staying at port orleans at Disney, driving down (I dont like to fly )
