Kure Beach Double

I will be there...but as a volunteer.  I will be at packet pick up on Saturday afternoon and volunteering during the race Sunday!

How bout those waves?

Holly crap. That first swim took allllllllll my energy out of me for the rest of the race and then to fight the rip current  on the second swim in . Its was frikin hot

Yeah, I felt pretty strong during the first swim, but the 2nd killed my momentum. I just couldn't get to that first buoy.

Bike course was awesome and the runs were superb as well. Not really impressed with the way the event was directed, but will definitely do again next year.

This was my first tri and it was tough.  I made the tri and finished at 1:46.  The swim in the ocean against the waves and against the current was the hardest part.  The swim took everything away from me!!!  This is not a good tri to do first.  But I did finish and I didn't drown!!  But 17 minutes on the first swim wow!!!!

Congrats on your first Tri...you had a similar time to my first a year ago at Woodlake. You'll get faster, I promise! I have no idea how Mason (the winner) was so fast, but I want to give him a run for his money next year

Although that was a tough race, I had a frickin blast.
