Would love to say Lance, but I think there will be too many people willing to do anything this time to make sure he stays back giving Alberto a chance to run. |

Saxo is cohesive, and his brother can ride him anywhere he wants. 2nd Overall: Armstrong. Despite a fractured Astana squad, he can hang. 3rd Overall: Cadel Evans. Just hasn't got the teammates to be one or two. Sprinter: Cavendish. Why break tradition? Mountains: Voeckler. The French need something. Some Jersey: Pellizotti. He's too good not to get something, most likely KOM. Seriously, I think the Tour completely hinges on whether Astana ride as a unit or fracture. If they ride as a unit, Contador wins. If they fracture, as I'm guessing, then neither LA or Contador win. Unless Contador catches on with next year's ride (like CDE) and becomes part of their team, which I wouldn't rule out. But Saxo is solid, with a solid gameplan, no drama. That makes andy the easy pick. The best part is...I'm completely in agreement with Gus. This will be the best tour in a long time. I'm not going with any of their riders in the GC. So, I'm taking Andy Schleck because he's got the talent and a hell of a strong team. Also liking Menchov. I'm pulling for Vandevelde to podium, but not to optomistic about it. KOM - Valverde Points - Hushovd. Maybe Cav if he stays in it this year since there are no Olympics to get ready for. |
