Subject: RE: Bike Stores in LincolnI am lucky enough to have one of the newly opened shops in my backyard, and my office is 2 blocks from scheels. I have to say the bike dept at scheels really impressed me. they took all kinds of time explaining fit, size, tires, etc even though I had told him I already bought a new (cheap ) road bike. he had all kinds of helpful information for me. Because of this I wouldn't rule them out if they had a good deal on a tri bike next year.... At the LBS a block from my house they acted like I had come from another planet when I told them what my bike was. and told me I should not waste my time or money buying accessories for this bike, I should just wait til I can afford one of their bikes. In their defense they did get me in while I waited to true the wheels of my new bike and found some nice road shoes I can use in spin class and on the bike. I have also bought tubes and stuff for mine and my kids' bikes from them. (so I support the locals ) Point of this ramble? I don't know. go to where you get the best service, value, and to those who have what YOU want not what THEY want to sell you. |
