Subject: Which wetsuit?
I'm looking for my first wetsuit. I've found two in a good price range. The online reviews on both have seemed good so far. Does anyone have an opinion on either???

1) 2XU TO Team - fullsleeve

2) Orca S2  - fullsleeve

... not sure if it makes a difference or not. Im 5'8" 160lbs, but I have really broad shoulders. I'd ideally like to try both to see which fits better but there is no where around here that carries either so im going to have to order online.

Thanks for the info!!!

Rent them first. Wetsuits are very different in fit between brands and you cannot know which will fit you best until you try them on.

We generally rent our Orcas to only our leanest customers.  With your height and weight, I'd go with the T:0.  It's an in-house favorite of ours because we rarely have to send them in for repair

Look into Zoot Suits as well. Not sure what your price range is but they make an excellent entry point model that I have thoroughly enjoyed so far.

You may also want ot consider DeSoto 2-piece wetsuit. That way can get different size for top and bottom and get a great fit. My chest and shoulders are quite a bit larger in portion to my waist and hips and by getting a XL top and a large size bottom I got a great fit. It is very comfortable and allows free movement of your arms during your stroke.

I second the DeSoto 2 piece! It's quick to put on and take off. I'm out of my top before I hit land and the bottoms slide off real easy.

Follow up question for those of you have the DeSoto two piece.  Can you wear just the bibjohn like you would a sleeveless?  Does it work well?

I wore just the DeSoto bibjohn on my second tri in May and it worked very well but it also fits tightly on me, so for me it worked out great. I suppose if it fit a little loose it might catch some extra water...with a good fit the bib john will work by itself.

I did wear just the bibjohns last year when the water temp was close to 78 and I didn't want ot overheat. It worked very well.
