Actually, it's displaying correctly. Stay with me here:
By 6/28/2010 I will strength train at least 3 times per week for 7 consecutive weeks.
During the past 3 calendar weeks you strength trained at least 0 times per week.
Your goal is to strength train at least 3 times per week for 3 consecutive weeks. In other words, you're concerned with monitoring the minimum number of times per week you record a strength session over a period of three weeks.
Your week starts on Monday (today).
You haven't strength trained yet this week.
So, the status message is letting you know that the minimum number of times you've strength trained per week, over the past 3 weeks (including the current week) is zero. We include the current week in this statement to serve as a motivator.
So go hit the weights.

Okay. I get what you're saying.
When it was on my dashboard, with the pretty graph, it seemed more intuitive.
I know that the sidebar doesn't allow for much, but what about giving a history of sorts?
Like
05/10/2010: 3 training sessions
05/17/2010: 6 training sessions
05/24/2010: 0 training sessions
Average 3 sessions per week
Or maybe something as simple as:
Current status: 2 out of 3 weeks goal met
I don't know. It makes sense now that you explain it, but on my own I think it might have taken me a long time to figure out what was going on without a little more information being displayed. Of course, I'm a little slow on the uptake most days.
(And yes - I'll hit the weights. Geez. You're worse than my trainer.
